An apprentice adjusts the hair of a courtesan dressed in an elaborate kimono under a blossoming cherry tree. Ten triptychs are known in this series, each featuring women of a particular historical period which is stated in each print title.

This is the second edition published by Akiyama Buemon (Kokkeido) a few years after the first edition, which was published by Takekawa Seikichi in 1896.
