In this tranquil moonlit scene a boat carrying fishermen glides gently along the Arakawa River, whilst lights from houses along the distant riverbank cast long reflections in the still water. On the nearside a young woman carrying a child on her back makes her way presumably to home; the dwelling in the foreground. A warm glow of light from the interior emanates from the near windows.
